Website Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Big Sky Pediatric Dentistry (“Big Sky Pediatric Dentistry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects and uses information through bigskypediatricdentistry.com (the “Site”). It covers this website only. It does not cover, and is not a substitute for, our Notice of Privacy Practices, which describes how we handle protected health information (“PHI”) as a healthcare provider under HIPAA and is provided to patients separately. By using the Site, you agree to the terms below.

Information you provide directly. When you submit our general contact form, we collect the information you enter, which typically includes your name, phone number, email address, and message. The general contact form is intended for scheduling questions, general inquiries, and similar non-urgent communications. Please do not use it to send your child’s detailed medical or dental history, insurance details, or other sensitive health information — that information is collected securely through our patient portal or in person, as described below.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our Site may automatically log limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited. This is used for basic security and understanding how the Site is used.
Our Site links to two third-party platforms: FlexBook, for requesting or scheduling appointments, and PatientViewer, our patient portal. Both are operated and hosted entirely by those third-party providers, not by us through this Site. When you use FlexBook or PatientViewer, any information you enter — including your child’s name, appointment details, insurance information, or dental and health records — is submitted directly to that provider and is not collected or stored by this Site.
As a healthcare provider, we are required by HIPAA to protect the privacy and security of our patients’ protected health information, including information accessed or transmitted through our patient portal and scheduling system. How we collect, use, and safeguard that health information, and your rights regarding it, are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, available at our offices and upon request, rather than in this website Privacy Policy.
We use the information submitted through our general contact form to respond to your questions, help you find the right location or provider, and follow up on non-clinical inquiries. We do not use contact form submissions for unrelated marketing or advertising purposes, and we do not sell your personal information.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share limited information from the general contact form with trusted service providers who help us operate the Site and respond to inquiries, including our web hosting provider and our email provider.
Our Site also embeds Google Maps to show our office locations. This feature is provided by Google and may involve your browser communicating directly with Google’s servers, subject to Google’s own privacy practices. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or sale.
Our Site may use a small number of cookies for basic functionality. Our Site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may involve your browser connecting to Google’s servers and sharing your IP address as part of that request. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some Site features may not work as intended if you do so.
We retain general contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Records containing protected health information are retained according to the schedule described in our Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable law, not this policy.
You may contact us at info@bigskypediatricdentistry.com or (406) 752-8302 to ask what information we’ve collected through the general contact form, correct inaccurate information, or request its deletion, subject to legitimate business or legal retention needs. If your request relates to your child’s dental or health records, please contact us directly so we can handle it under our HIPAA procedures rather than through this website policy.
This Site’s general contact form is intended to be used by parents or guardians on behalf of their children, not by children directly, and we do not knowingly collect personal information through the Site directly from children. Health information about your child that you provide through our patient portal or in connection with treatment is protected under HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information submitted through our Site. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Health information handled through our patient portal is subject to the security safeguards required by HIPAA.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
